If I had to give one word for why I am a photographer, it would be memories. Of course we all know that. Photos are everywhere and they document our life. I recently had an interaction with a client who said she didn't want to be in the photos with her kids. What? Why in the world not? I insisted. Why? Because it matters. It matters to her kids, or at least it will.
In 2015 we lost Sheena's father, Brad. The photo above is the last photo we had of him at my son's first birthday party. The interaction here will be important for my son, and I know it's important for my wife.
Photos matter. Be in them.
